In today's build, the 6446 teams worked hard, programmers and engineers, to prepare their robot for the first tournament. The teams tried their best to get their robots driving and ready to go. If they were ready to drive, we put it to the test by having it drive over a pole that will be in the VexRT tournament. Unfortunately, not all of us could finish our robots we all came very close, and next week at Otay we will be able to practice driving and our autonomous mode. While we weren't able to make it to the Harbor Fest we were able to submit our application for the Makers Faire and hopefully we will get a booth.
Today, we worked to try and get our chassis ready to drive. Even though we werent able to attend the Harbor Fest we acted as if it we were. Team A was unable to get their chassis driving, but it was constantly drifting. Unfortunately 6446B and 6446C couldn't get their robots driving but were very close. Even though some teams couldn't get their robots working we all had some amazing progress on our robot and are a couple steps closer to finishing our first version of our robots.
Today we all me in Mr. Braito's room and started our 2nd build of the year. This time we got our incoming members to join us! With the new team members we also created a new team, 6446D, for Royal Robotics! While some team members worked on building the chassis of their robots other members help out our new members with the basics of programming, engineering, and about Vex RT's game "Turning Point" that we will be competing in this year. With the 7th grade additions to the teams for this year we've all made amazing progress.
The Royal Robotics kicked off the year by meeting in Mr. Braito's room after school. We started grading the papers for the incoming seventh graders that tried out for robotics this week. The remainders of teams 6446 A, B, and C split into their own group and started talking, designing, and building their robots for the Vex EDR game "Turning Point." After the grading process has finished the members went to their teams and helped with their robot. While the year just started, Royal Robotics has made some amazing progress for the start of the school year.!
